As from January 1st 2026, the EU ETS regulation will cover 100% of CO2 emissions (compared to 70% in 2025). The use of renewable fuels is also being stepped up in order to reduce their environmental impact. The costs associated with complying with this legislation (+€6/TEU dry in 2026) are included in our ETS.
As from 01/01/2026, the ETS Surcharge amounts, revisable each month, are as follow :
The ETS is calculated monthly using the market value of carbon (average of the month m-2), if this difference is greater than $4.
